James A. Williamson is the VP of Production at Fairfield Mortgage. He is also a Senior Loan Officer with Fairfield and, since joining the company in 1994, has helped over 3000 families finance their homes. James has been the company's top loan officer in Georgia for each of the last 17 years and, in 2009 out of over 150 loan officers nationwide, he finished as the #1 loan officer for all of Guaranty Bank, Fairfield’s parent company.

James was born in Greenville, SC and received both his BBA and MBA from the University of Georgia. After graduating from Georgia in 1991, James entered the mortgage business as a loan officer in Atlanta with BancBoston Mortgage Corporation. James was BancBoston's Rookie of the Year in 1992 and has received the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia's Award (MBAG) for Excellence every year since 1994. In fact for 2009, James won MBAG’s highest award given by finishing among the Top 10 Loan Officers in the entire state of Georgia (#7).

James met his wife, Wendi, in high school and they were married in 1992. After graduating from Clemson University and enjoying a successful career in marketing research, Wendi's latest challenge has been chasing around their four kids. Jake, Jamie Ruth, and Drew are 13 year-old triplets and they have a blast looking out for their 5 year-old younger sister, Rachel.

Giving back to the community is a high priority for James. After the Haiti earthquake in January, he has organized a massive relief effort that has led to the start of an organization called Operation Crepsac Circle, which continues to raise money for kids in Haiti. James and his family also volunteer each week at the Lighthouse Retreat, which serves children with cancer and their families. James also serves on the Boards of Veritas Church and Next Generation Mentoring. He is also an active member of North Point Community Church and, over the last decade, has been involved with a high-adventure youth camp called Camp Highland. James served on Camp Highland's Board for seven years and continues to help organize Camp Highland's annual fundraiser golf tournament.

James is a sports fanatic and loves playing, watching, and coaching most sports. He especially enjoys working on his golf handicap, attending University of Georgia football games, and coaching his boys' soccer and football teams.
