Sharon Pounds is a pioneer in the mortgage industry. She has been a loan officer for nearly 25 years, having started when it was rare to find a female in this profession. She had to do more than just “get by” – she had to be at the top of her field in order to survive. All of these years of experience allows Sharon to not only find the best financing product for each individual client, but also to do it quickly and clearly, so as not to cause the borrower any stress or worry. Sharon is known for her honesty and integrity: her reoccurring clients know that what she tells them today will be the same as what she said last week and what they’ll see at the closing table.

Not only does Sharon know the mortgage industry inside and out, she also knows the Atlanta area. Sharon was born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia. She attended West Georgia College where she graduated in 1982. She has lived all over the north end of town and just recently has decided to move inside the perimeter with her husband Gus, a well-respected builder, their twin 11-year-old daughters, Caroline and Catherine, and their three dogs: Keegan (a black lab), Caesar a maltese) and Emily (a yorkie).
